Queens man shot through apartment door by neighbor: NYPD

A 32-year-old Queens man was shot in the leg early Wednesday after a bullet fired by a neighbor exploded through his apartment door, police said.

Cops were called to the 83rd St. apartment building at Northern Blvd. in Jackson Heights around 5:15 a.m., where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the left thigh, officials said.

A bullet hole was found in the apartment’s front door, cops said.

Responding officers applied a tourniquet on the wounded man’s leg and EMS took him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for a minor wound.

Two men believed to be the victim’s neighbors fled the apartment building after the shooting and were last seen heading north on 83rd St.

No arrests have been made.

The victim knew his two attackers from the building, but the motive behind the shooting was not immediately disclosed.

One of the suspects was last seen wearing a blue bubble jacket, gray pants, a white Yankees hat and white sneakers, cops said. The second man was wearing a gray bubble jacket, gray sweatpants and a dark-colored Yankees hat.
