An 87-year-old woman was knifed to death during an argument inside her Staten Island home, police said Friday.
Police are questioning a former acquaintance of the victim — a man in his 80s — for the Thursday night murder inside the victim’s Dongan Hills home.
Cops called to the apartment on Carmel Court near Old Town Road at 11:30 p.m. found victim Laxmiben Khristi sprawled out on the floor with a stab wound to the chest, officials said.
EMS rushed her to Staten Island University North Campus, but she couldn’t be saved.
The victim’s acquaintance was in the apartment when police arrived and taken in for questioning. Police believe the two were arguing when Khristi was stabbed.
No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
