Sarah Michelle Gellar has sparked feud rumors with her ex co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt after her awkward answer to a question about the actress made rounds on social media.
The duo previously starred opposite each other in the 1997 film “I Know What You Did Last Summer” — but they haven’t shared the screen since.
The hit film’s success has since brought two more sequels, with another one currently being filmed Down Under.
And while Gellar isn’t starring in the upcoming installment, her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. is — prompting the duo, along with their two kids, to spend Thanksgiving in Australia.
But when asked if she could share any tidbits from the upcoming project, given the fact her hubby is starring in the film, Gellar seemingly dodged the question.
“I have nothing to do with that,” she told Extra TV during a red carpet interview when asked if Love Hewitt, 45, is starring in the upcoming film.
The actress, 47, then swiftly walked away from the reporter, prompting the end of the interview.
And while the awkward interaction lasted just seconds, social media users were quick to point out that there could be a feud brewing behind closed doors.
“Look at her face!! She hates her so bad! sksksksk,” one person wrote on X, while another added, “Oh wow! I felt that coldness!”
A third wrote on X, “Omg that face she did was so sassy lmao is there beef between them,” while another agreed, adding, “The facial expression is everything 😭😭.”
The Post has reached out to reps for Gellar and Love Hewitt for comment.
In the original film, Gellar’s character, Helen Shivers, is killed off, explaining why she didn’t return for any of the sequels.
In 2014, the actress was asked about her former co-star during an interview on the “Morning Show” in Australia.
When the hosts began listing names of actors that starred in the 1997 film, Gellar offered up a comment after Love Hewitt’s name was mentioned.
“I know what your boobs did last summer — cause whenever you see that movie, it’s just a lot of cleavage,” she quipped.
“I haven’t seen her in a long time,” she said when asked if she and “Ghost Whisperer” actress had kept in touch.
“LA is so segregated that unless you sort of live in the same area and your kids are sort of in the same — you don’t run into people in the same way.”
