A 72-year-old man was cruelly shoved off a subway platform and onto the tracks at Herald Square on Sunday, suffering a head laceration, police said.
Cops said the assailant walked up to the elderly man about 12:14 p.m. at the 34th Street Herald Square station on the northbound F line platform, pushed the victim onto the tracks and bolted from the station.
The victim had a cut on his head and “soreness throughout his body,” cops said. EMS transported the man to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
