Consider “Feud: Nicole and Salma” canceled.
Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek ran into each other on the Golden Globes red carpet on Sunday and put to bed rumors of a rift months after gossip swirled that the pair were not in each other’s good graces.
Kidman, 57, and Hayek, 58, were all smiles as they chatted ahead of the 82nd annual Globes. The stars even held hands as they mingled with reporters on the carpet and, at one point, lovingly grabbed each other’s arms.
It was another armed gesture, however, that first sparked speculation of a rift.
In September, Kidman appeared to push Hayek’s arm away as they posed for photos at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week.
In a video of the moment that went viral on social media, the two icons chat before Hayek turns Kidman around to face the cameras so they can get a photo together with Katy Perry, 40, who was on the other side of the “Babygirl” star.
Kidman then pushes the “Friday” actress’ arm and starts to walk away before embracing Perry, kissing her on the cheek.
“Nicole, please, with Salma,” a photographer can be heard saying as the AMC queen turns back to chat with Hayek briefly before walking away.
Hayek’s husband, Balenciaga owner François-Henri Pinault, sat between her and Kidman, who is a brand ambassador for the fashion house, during the show.
According to forensic lip-reader Jeremy Freeman, Hayek told Kidman, “Let’s turn here.”
Freeman also conjectured that the “A Family Affair” star replied, “Hey, I’m fine, I’m good. There, it’s enough, it’s OK.”
“We have to,” the lip-reader suggested Hayek said before she adding, “That’s fine, that’s fine,”
Also, in the clip, Hayek is heard telling Kidman, “Yes, please. Advice.”
“You don’t need it,” Kidman responds off-camera before Hayek says, “I do.”
The “Desperado” actress shared a photo she took with Kidman at the Balenciaga show on Instagram the day after the supposed incident.
Reports of bad blood between the two were rebuffed by Hollywood insiders in October.
“They were being bombarded by cameras at the end of the show while in the middle of a conversation,” a source told People at the time. “People are looking at clips and making a story out of nothing.”
“This whole situation is silly. Salma and Nicole love and respect each other,” an insider close to both women added.
Notably, Kidman wore a Balenciaga gown on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet — a gesture of friendship undercut only by her brand ambassador status with the company.
