Mark Hamill was forced to flee his Malibu home as dangerous wildfires continue to spread through Southern California.
The “Star Wars” actor, 73, posted a statement on Instagram Tuesday night where he detailed his and his family’s “last-minute” evacuation.
“Personal Fire Update: 7pm- Evacuated Malibu so last-minute there (were) small fires on both sides of the road as we approached [Pacific Coast Highway],” Hamill wrote.
Hamill said that at 8:15 p.m., he and his wife, Marilou York, and their dog, Trixie, arrived at his daughter Chelsea’s house in Hollywood.
“Most horrific fire since ’93,” he added, before telling everyone to “STAY SAFE.”
Fans reacted to Hamill’s wildfire update in the comments section — with a notable “Star Wars” reference.
“Stay safe and of course the force is with you,” one fan wrote.
“May the force be with the good hearted during the rough days,” another fan said.
Someone else commented, “I hope you’re alright, Mark! And I mean this in all seriousness but may the Force be with you…”
“Stay safe pal. I wish you and your family love and support,” a fourth fan wrote.
The devastating wildfire started in the Pacific Palisades around 10:30 a.m.and has torn through other areas including in Malibu and Santa Monica.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency as the fires have burned more than 3,00 acres, including several homes, and has zero containment as of Wednesday morning, according to CalFire.
Other LA-based celebrities have been forced to evacuate their homes amid the crisis, including Mandy Moore, Eugene Levy and James Woods.
Levy, 78, told told the Los Angeles Times that he got trapped in traffic of other fleeing residents attempting to leave the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
“The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,” the “American Pie” star, 78, said. “I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.”
Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their Pacific Palisades home in the massive blaze, according to TMZ, just hours after Pratt shared a video of a plane dropping water on the nearby flames on Instagram.
“Police Academy” actor Steve Guttenberg jumped into action to help fire crews battle the blaze in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday.
A local news station captured the 66-year-old out moving cars to make room for fire trucks to drive into the endangered community.
Guttenberg implored residents to “move their cars” so that the fire crews can help people in need on Palisades Drive.
“There are families up there, there are pets up there. There are people who really need help,” he said while visibly emotional.
The cause of the wildfire is unknown.
