The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations are here.
Actress Joey King (“A Family Affair”) and actor Cooper Koch (“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”) were supposed to unveil this year’s nominees live on Netflix’s YouTube channel on Wednesday morning following an introduction from SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher.
However, after the wildfires in Los Angeles, the in-person nominations announcement was cancelled out of an “abundance of caution,” according to a rep from SAG. Instead, they were announced via press release and posted on the SAG Awards website.
The streaming service is broadcasting the SAG Awards for the second year in a row.
Hosted by Kristen Bell, the ceremony will air live on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
The Screen Actors Guild will honor legendary actress and activist Jane Fonda at the awards, presenting her with the Life Achievement Award.
Coming just three days after the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards nominees honored many films and shows that the Globes also recognized, along with some snubs and new choices.
In film, “Wicked” leads the pack with five nominations, followed by “A Complete Unknown” with four, and “Emilia Perez” and “Anora” each getting three. “Shogun” leads the TV pack with five nominations, followed by “The Bear” with four and “The Penguin” with three.
The full list of nominees was missing some names that many considered to be shoe-ins.
Sebastian Stan was snubbed for “A Different Man,” which he won a Golden Globe for. Denzel Washington was also snubbed for “Gladiator II,” which he earned a Golden Globe nomination for.
