Police shot and wounded an armed man in the Bronx during a harrowing confrontation Sunday, cops said.
The 32-year-old man was holding a knife when he lunged at officers inside an apartment building on E. 148th St. near Courtlandt Ave. in Mott Haven just before 5:40 p.m., police said.
One officer fired his weapon, striking the man, who was then rushed to Lincoln Hospital, where he’s expected to survive.
Officers involved were not injured and were taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
