Christina Applegate slams ‘sick’ people who claim LA fires are ‘good’

Christina Applegate is speaking out amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

On Tuesday’s episode of her MeSsy podcast, the “Married… with Children” star shared she was waiting to hear if she and her daughter Sadie, 13, would have to evacuate their home again amid the ongoing blazes in the Pacific Palisades, Altadena and Eaton.

“There’s not really words for it,” cohost Jamie-Lynn Sigler said of the disaster.

“You know what I have words for? F–king people who are saying that it’s, you know, good. It’s Hollywood and those stupid Hollywood people. Like, you’ve gotta be kidding me,” Applegate, 53, responded.

The “Dead to Me” alum clapped back at the notion that LA residents are only celebrities

“We’re a small portion of the city,” Applegate continued. “I mean, this is a city of people that are working their asses off at fast food chains or, you know, f–king builders and painters, and it’s a myriad of groups of humans here, so to say good riddance is real sick, and I’m not liking that whatsoever.”

Sigler, 43, had some advice for her podcasting partner — urging Applegate to “tune out” the comments. But as the “Anchorman” actress put it: “I’ve tuned it out because they’re ridiculous, but I’m calling them out right now.”

The “Sopranos” vet agreed with Applegate, explaining that residents of the city are all “dreamers.”

“They’re all there for big dreams, and they work top to bottom, work their f–king asses off,” Sigler added.

“And sure. Is there a group of people that have been affected that will have the ability to rebuild their lives? I wouldn’t say easily, but soon? Yes. And are there thousands of other people that literally have no idea where they will begin? Yes. And we have to hold both of them in our hearts.”

Despite Applegate’s home still standing, she’s already had to evacuate for a few days and is on “constant alert” for the possibility of having to flee again.

“I just have a backpack … the important papers and things that mean something to you,” Applegate expressed of what she’d take with her. “I tried to pack light [but] my daughter’s got, like, four suitcases, so I don’t know what’s gonna happen there.”

Sigler, who lives in Austin, Texas, shared what she would choose to bring in the event of an evacuation.

“Mine were a couple of things from my grandmother, obviously important papers,” she noted. “This sounds terrible, but my SAG Awards because they’re a time and a memory, and you can’t replace that. And, a box of artwork from my kids.”

Some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Anthony Hopkins, Mel Gibson, Miles Teller, John Goodman, Anna Faris, Mandy Moore, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Paris Hilton, and Billy Crystal, are among those who lost their homes in the fires.

The LA fires have since left 24 dead and at least 23 people missing. They continue to burn after starting on Jan. 7.

On Tuesday, President-elect Donald Trump predicted the death toll will increase drastically as local authorities start using cadaver-sniffing dogs to search through the rubble.

“They’re going to find many bodies, you know. Only the dogs will find them, right? You know, German Shepherds will. They can pick out the ashes immediately. It’s amazing,” Trump said in an interview with Newsmax. “But we’re gonna find many bodies and many more, many more dead.”
