NJ police searching for man who tried to abduct girl outside home



The New Jersey State Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a girl outside her home.

The incident occurred Sunday around 11:30 a.m. outside the girl’s home near the intersection of Main Street and Route 47 in Maurice River Township, about 55 miles southeast of Philadelphia in Cumberland County.

The man’s abduction attempt was unsuccessful when the girl managed to escape and he fled the area.

Police released a sketch of the suspect, described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 40 with stubbly facial hair and approximately 6 feet tall. He also has a two-inch jagged scar on his left jawline.

He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black socks and black shoes.
