Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Stevie Nicks and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the famous acts confirmed to be performing at this month’s FireAid benefit concert, established to raise funds for those recovering from the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
The Jan. 30 event is set to be star-studded, with FireAid announcing on Thursday that the lineup also includes Dave Matthews, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, John Mayer, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Pink, Rod Stewart, and Sting, among others.
While the benefit was initially set to feature 24 L.A.-based acts, TMZ previously reported that number could increase as dozens of huge names have expressed interest in performing. The event, only announced earlier this week, has already grown so big that it’s been expanded to two venues — the Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum, both in Inglewood.
Ticket announcements will be made in the coming days, and the benefit will also be available for streaming.
The event is expected to generate millions of dollars in donations for those affected by the recent Southern California wildfires, which have become the most destructive in state history.
The Palisades Fire, which swept through previously celeb-filled neighborhoods of the Pacific Palisades and Malibu, has so far burned burned nearly 24,000 acres and was only 22% contained as of Thursday.
The Eaton Fire, which has burned over 14,000 acres and is now 55% contained, ravaged Altadena and other areas north of Pasadena.
The multiple fires have killed at least 27 people, destroying over 12,300 structures in over 60 square miles burned, which is larger than the city of Paris.
