Yes, Peter Frampton is going on tour.
The legendary “Frampton Comes Alive!” singer just announced his ten-concert ‘Let’s Do It Again! Tour’ that will hit arenas, theaters, casinos and performing arts centers all over North America from late March through mid-April.
That includes stops at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre on Tuesday, April 1, Atlantic City, NJ’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, April 5 and New Brunswick, NJ’s State Theatre on Monday, April 7.
“I am so thrilled to be able to come out and play again for you,” the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee said. “It’s been a spectacular year, looking forward to seeing everyone soon.”
What makes this brief outing so remarkable is that the former Humble Pie frontman and star of the 1978 “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” film retired from playing live music in 2019 after sharing he’d been diagnosed with Inclusion-Body Myositis (IBM).
Although his fingers aren’t quite as dexterous as they were during his ’70s heyday, the 74-year-old claimed they exceeded his expectations and resumed touring in 2023.
