Inside Amy Schumer is a just a regular person with regular person feelings.
So when Bradley Cooper asked the comedian if she was 50 yet, she couldn’t help but be taken aback.
While on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, Schumer, who is only 43, revealed that she ran into the actor, who is 50, earlier in the week.
“I saw him, and you know ‘how are you?’, and he said ‘You know, I turned 50 this year’ and he goes ‘You 50?’,” she explained. “I tried to recover — you know, I’m 43 — so I’m like, ‘I will be 50! But I’m not 50 yet! Yeah no, I’m not, Bradley, but thank you for thinking of me!’”
Schumer added: “Look, we all want to be hot. People go through a lot to be hot. This is how bad people want to be hot: people literally run!”
The “Trainwreck” star got up and mimicked running while shouting in a put-on voice, “Somebody have sex with me!”
Poking fun at those who exercise, Schumer joked: “They’re riding a bike to nowhere to the ‘Wicked’ soundtrack. It’s pathetic!”
The “Kinda Pregnant” star also told Fallon that she is frequently mistaken by fans for fellow comedy actresses Melissa McCarthy and Rebel Wilson.
For Schumer, it’s a compliment. As she put it, “And I should be so lucky. I don’t correct them. I just go, ‘Yeah, Bridesmaids changed my life.’”
Schumer previously talked about her out-of-control crush on Cooper with Fallon in 2015. She gushed that Cooper is “the kind of hot, trust me, when he is in front of you, you just grab your ankles.”
“You would just say things you didn’t mean,” she continued. “Like, ‘any hole’s fine.’”
She teased that after a 30-minute conversation with Cooper, she was “pretty sure” they were dating.
“I changed my Facebook status from ‘it’s complicated’ to ‘I’m engaged to Bradley Cooper,’” she quipped.
And yes, Cooper was fully aware of her crush.
“I always harass him,” she said at the time. “I feel very uncomfortable talking to somebody that handsome. He’s very charismatic and stares into your eyes and asks you questions, which no man does.”
It’s safe to say when Schumer’s 50th does roll around, Cooper is bound to snag an invite.
