A 27-year-old woman was shot in the arm in Brooklyn Friday, police said.
The woman went to The Brooklyn Hospital Center without waiting for medics to arrive and is in stable condition.
Police responded to the hospital at 12:10 p.m. and learned she had been shot about 20 minutes earlier on Willoughby Ave. near Classon Ave.
The victim was in front of the Mercy Home For Children, an organization dedicated to children with developmental disabilities, when she was struck.
A 911 caller reported hearing six or seven shots and said the shooter was in a white Toyota minivan and appeared to be firing at another minivan when the victim was struck.
