A gunman shot a man Saturday evening, then barricaded himself inside a Bronx apartment, cops said.
Cops responding to a 911 call around 6:16 p.m. of an assault in progress found a 25-year-old man shot in the leg outside the NYCHA Edenwald Houses at 4024 Laconia Ave., between E. 227th and E. 228th Sts., in Edenwald.
The victim was transported by EMS to Jacobi Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
The scene was still active Saturday night as NYPD hostage units were trying to determine if the gunman was still inside the apartment.
