Trump to urge Congress for more funding for deportations— in front of Laken Riley’s parents

President Trump will urge Congress to give more funding for deportations in his Tuesday night speech before Congress — as the parents of Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, who were killed by illegal migrants, look on.

“He’s also going to make an ask of Congress tonight, we need more border funding to continue with these deportations that have been incredibly successful because of the efforts of this administration, but we need more resources,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed in an interview with Fox News Tuesday morning.

Leavitt said Trump has been “engaged” in negotiations to get border funding bills through the House and Senate, but will still be urging Congress to step up “to get the deal done.”

Trump will also speak about the war in Ukraine, the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, how he will “fix the economic mess” created by former President Joe Biden and tout his accomplishments in his first month as president.
