Gigi Hadid is opening up about her love life like never before.
The 29-year-old supermodel made rare comments about her romance with boyfriend Bradley Cooper in her interview for Vogue’s April 2025 cover story published Tuesday.
“Bradley has opened me up to going to the theater more, and that’s something that’s so nice to bring back into my life,” said Hadid, who described the pair’s relationship as “very romantic and happy.”
Vogue confirmed that Hadid and the “A Star Is Born” actor, 50, met at a backyard birthday party for the child of a mutual friend.
“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating,” Hadid told the outlet. “And even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people? And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don’t know.”
The fashionista explained that she prefers to keep the romance private because “it’s just not part of our relationship to share for whatever reason.”
She also spoke about how Cooper came into her life at the right time. “I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential, and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be.”
“I just feel really lucky,” Hadid added. “Yeah, lucky’s the word.”
Further gushing about Cooper, Hadid said, “I respect him so much as a creative, and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief.”
Cooper and Hadid first sparked romance rumors in October 2023 after they were pictured having dinner with friends at Italian hot spot Via Carota in New York City. By January of 2024, the duo officially confirmed their relationship when they stepped out holding hands in London.
In the Vogue interview, Hadid also talked about co-parenting with her ex Zayn Malik, with whom she shares 4-year-old daughter Khai.
“Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance,” Hadid shared. “That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”
Hadid said that she and the One Direction alum, 32, have “love, and a feeling of camaraderie” for each other, and have accepted that their relationship will always be under the miscroscope.
“There is the hard part of the world knowing this much, and thinking they know everything,” she explained. “And at the end of the day, we’re not interested in giving everyone our whole story. What we are interested in is raising our daughter together, with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we’ve been through together.”
The former couple started dating in 2015 and broke up in 2021 after Malik got into a physical fight with Hadid’s mom Yolanda, 61.
Both Cooper and Malik own homes in the new celebrity hotspot town of New Hope, Pennsylvania, where Yolanda has had a 32-acre, 5,000-square-foot property since 2017.
