Pro-Palestinian activists vandalize Trump golf course in Ireland

Police in Ireland are looking for three suspects they believe dug up greens and planted Palestinian flags in the lawn of the Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg.

The damage coincided with Irish leader Micheál Martin’s trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with the president, according to the Irish Times.

Employees of the resort called the vandalism a “childish, criminal” act that won’t slow down business.

“We have the greatest course anywhere in the world and we are so proud of the tremendous success and we look forward to a great season ahead,” a spokesperson for the Trump property told the Times.

The latest targeting of Trump’s property comes less than a week after protesters took credit for defacing his Turnberry golf course in southwest Scotland. That incident too appeared to be related to U.S. support for Israel’s storming of Gaza, and Trump’s recent proposal to empty the Gaza Strip of its Palestinian population.

Photos show “Gaza Is Not For Sale” in giant letters written on the lawn and red spray paint on the exterior wall of the club house.

Trump had recently posted an AI-generated video on social media imagining Gaza as a Trump resort resembling something one might visit in Las Vegas or Dubai. The president has suggested the U.S. could help oust the 2.1 million Palestinians living in Gaza and create a “Riviera of the Middle East.”
