No 7 train service between Manhattan and Queens

Before you swipe through the turnstile this weekend, get up to speed on subway service changes that could affect your line.

The No. 7 train will be down again this weekend between Queens and Manhattan, with no service between 34th St.-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza while crews conduct drainage work.

The outage is part of a weeks-long project to overhaul the pump rooms in the Steinway Tunnel, which carries the No. 7 under the East River. Transit officials said they should wrap up most of the work this weekend, and expect one more weekend outage in the spring for testing.

Those looking to get across Manhattan this weekend, can get to some of the same places via the M34 SBS bus or the 42nd St. subway shuttle. Within Queens, a free shuttle will run between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Blvd.-Jackson Ave.

In Manhattan, the A train will not be running between 207th St. and 168th St. due to track maintenance. Track work will also mean the C train won’t run between 168th St. and 145th St. — though the A will be running local to those stations.

In the Bronx, No. 4 trains won’t run north of 161st St.-Yankee Stadium due to planned track work. Also in the Bronx, accessibility improvements planned on the No. 6 line will keep trains from running between Pelham Bay Park and Hunts Point Ave. this weekend.
