Demi Moore is a woman of “Substance.”
The leading lady’s turn in director Coralie Fargeat’s high-performing horror led to a slew of best actress nominations, and a months-long awards campaign. At the close of the season, we think it’s fair to say that Moore’s mantlepiece is getting crowded.
Accepting her Golden Globe in January, the veteran performer told her peers that, in her 45 years of working, “this is the first time I’ve ever won anything.” Moore went on to win a Critics’ Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role in “The Substance,” and — oh yeah, our award for Best Dressed.
Collaborating with stylist Brad Goreski, Moore has long been one of the brightest stars on the red carpet. She looked like royalty in rich purple Dior attending the Gotham Awards in December, and won the Golden Globes long before her name was called, on account of her custom Armani Privé. Moore dressed to impress once again, wearing Schiaparelli Haute Couture when she won the Critics’ Choice Award in February.
“Eye” spied another Dior look (from the spring 2018 collection) at the Director’s Guild of America Awards, shortly before the “Ghost” star got playful in extraordinary, anatomical Alexander McQueen at the BAFTAs. At the Film Independent Spirit Awards, Moore accessorized her canine-shaped Hector bag (a Thom Browne classic) with her real-life furry friend, Pilaf.
For Oscars night, Moore wore another custom look from Armani Privé — a crytal-embellished, movie-star masterpiece — to the ceremony, and capped off the season in gilded Gucci at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party later that night.
