Is that a clarinet in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?
Alec Baldwin, 66, revealed that he once saw his wife Hilaria Baldwin’s ex-boyfriend naked during the performance of a Broadway play.
The “30 Rock” star is set to detail the surprising incident in the March 23 episode of the couple’s TLC series “The Baldwins,” according to a preview obtained by People.
But who exactly the mystery ex-boyfriend is will not be revealed.
The touchy topic starts after Hilaria, 41, is asked if she had ever dated an actor before meeting Alec in Feb. 2011.
“No,” the yoga guru responds. “Well, I mean, I wouldn’t date an actor when he was an actor. I dated an actor who then got to be on Broadway and we went to go see him naked.”
“I’ve seen one of the loves of her life naked,” Alec interjects, although Hilaria quickly clarifies that the man in question was “not the love of my life.”
“He was one of the loves of her life,” the “Mission Impossible” actor continues. “He was a very important boyfriend of hers. And we went to go see him on Broadway and he was naked — and as our British fans [would say], he had his bits out!”
Alec and Hilaria married in 2012. Ten years later, they headed to Broadway to see the revival of the Richard Greenberg play “Take Me Out” during its months-long run from Oct. 2022 to Feb. 2023.
The baseball drama starred Jesse Williams, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Patrick J. Adams, Michael Oberholtzer, and others – but it is not clear if any of those actors were Hilaria’s unnamed ex.
“We went to go see ‘Take Me Out,’ the musical that our dear friend Scott Ellis directed,” Alec recalls later in the segment. “And all these baseball players were in the locker room and they were all turned around naked with their dongs hanging out.”
“And I’m literally, and he’s there, her boyfriend and I recognize him. I met before,” he explains further. “And when he turns around with his [penis] hanging out, I’m like, oh, oh, oh, okay. He had like, a clarinet hanging from his pants. The guy literally turned around and we were all like, ‘Ah! Ah, whoa.’”
“I think you remember this more than I do,” Hilaria chimes in with a laugh.
If that wasn’t enough, the “Boss Baby” star also details how he later met his wife’s ex backstage after the play had ended.
“You can’t pay attention to a word he’s saying,” Alec recalls further. “He’s standing right here talking to me… I’m like, you have like a baseball bat that you stuff into your pants every day. How does that work for you?”
After finishing the story, Alec admits that he is ready to “move on from that subject,” adding he simply “felt it had to be told.”
Alec and Hilaria’s amusing back-and-forth in the latest “The Baldwins” preview is a stark difference from the couple’s public spat on the red carpet at the Planet Hollywood Times Square opening party in New York City earlier this month.
While the pair did an interview with “Extra” about their new reality series, Hilaria snapped at her husband of 12 years for talking over her.
When the interviewer asked if there might be a second season of the series, Alec joked it would be called “The Hilaria Show” – all while Hilaria explained that they’re “gonna see how it feels” to have the series “be out there.”
“It’s gonna be great,” Alec added as his wife was still responding. “You’re a winner.”
“Oh my God. When I’m talking, you’re not talking,” Hilaria barked. “No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking.”
She later fired back at critics after the couple’s squabble went viral.
Sunday’s episode of “The Baldwins” also comes after previous episodes saw the “Beetlejuice” actor open up about his involuntary manslaughter case – which kicked off in New Mexico just one month before the show started filming.
Although Alec did not reference the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins or the fact that the case against him was ultimately dismissed with prejudice, he did note that the experience of filming a reality show amid his legal woes was “unique.”
“When I think of the reality show, many things occur to me after the fact,” he explained. “Like when we were doing it, it was a bit of a unique time for us, but afterward when we did it, I realized that that’s who we are.”
“The Baldwins” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on TLC.
