Cali man pleads guilty to trying to kill Brett Kavanaugh

A California nut admitted Tuesday to trying to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — showing up to the conservative jurist’s home with a knife, zip ties, a Glock and hammer.

Nicholas Roske, 29, faces up to life in prison for the sick June 2022 stunt, when he showed up outside Kavanaugh’s home outside Chevy Chase, Md. at 1 a.m. armed to the teeth.

Two deputy US Marshals who had been guarding Kavanaugh’s residence spotted Roske in black clothing with a backpack exit a taxi and stare them down before turning around, court documents said.

The unhinged Simi Valley man then dropped the dime on himself, calling police to tell them he was having homicidal and suicidal thoughts. He also confessed to wanting to kill Kavanaugh, court documents alleged. He was then arrested.

Among the items Roske had on him were a Glock 17 pistol, pepper spray, zip ties, a hammer, duct tape, a black tactical chest rig and tactical knife and burglary tools, according to court documents.

He told authorities that he was inspired to kill because he was outraged over a bombshell report that the Supreme Court was set to overturn Roe v. Wade — the landmark decision that guaranteed a national right to abortion access.

He also said he was upset by the deadly elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, in which an assailant gunned down 19 students and two teachers while wounding 17 others.

Ultimately, the Supreme Court overturned Roe about two weeks after Roske was caught.

Prosecutors cited encrypted messages that Roske had allegedly sent detailing his desire to kill Kavanaugh and venting his concerns about Roe.

“People have killed judges before,” he wrote in one of the messages. “Im gonna stop roe v wade from being overturned.”

Nicholas John Roske pleaded guilty to attempting to murder a Supreme Court justice.

“Yeah but at the end of the day biden still chooses the replacements. gop cant do sh[—] about it.”

Roske pleaded guilty to attempting to kill a US Supreme Court justice. He will be sentenced Oct. 3 — and prosecutors have asked that he get 30 years behind bars.

Concerns over the threat of political violence against officials have grown over recent years. Trump survived multiple assassination attempts during his 2024 campaign cycle.

Last year, a Florida man — Neal Brij Sidhwaney — was sentenced to 14 months behind bars over a charge of transmitting an interstate threat to kill Chief Justice John Roberts in 2023.

In December, Congress approved $25.6 million in funding to help bolster security for justices on the high court.
