White Lotus’ Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood feud theories surface

Maybe it’s not all love between Rick and Chelsea.

“The White Lotus” fans believe that Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood are feuding because of their strange social media activity and their co-star Jason Isaacs’s cryptic comments about drama with the cast.

Following Sunday’s Season 3 finale that saw Rick and Chelsea die together in Thailand, viewers noticed that the actors don’t follow each other on Instagram.

Wood, 31, follows over 5,000 people on the app — but none of those accounts are Goggins, 53.

In a Reddit thread that started Monday, fans claimed that the unfollowing happened weeks ago. They also speculated that Goggins may have blocked Wood because all of her comments on his Instagram are gone. (They did note that Goggins’ comments on Wood’s Instagram are still there).

Other Redditors noted that Goggins and Wood didn’t do press together to promote the HBO show.

Additionally, fans pointed out that the duo have been sharing tributes to the show on Instagram and tagging most of their co-stars, except for each other.

Both Wood and Goggins also shared separate tributes to their characters using Fleetwood Mac’s breakup song “Silver Springs,” which has contributed to the feud speculation.

Plus, Goggins was inexplicably absent from the show’s finale watch party in California that Wood attended along with most of the cast. Michelle Monagahan, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell and Carrie Coon also skipped the event.

The Post has reached out to Goggins and Wood’s reps for comment.

Last month, Isaacs, who played Tim Ratliff, hinted at drama among the cast in an interview with Vulture.

“It was like a cross between summer camp and ‘Lord of the Flies’ but in a gilded cage. It wasn’t a holiday,” Isaacs, 61, said of the cast dynamic during filming. “Some people got very close, there were friendships that were made and friendships that were lost.”

“All the things you would imagine with a group of people unanchored from their home lives on the other side of the world, in the intense pressure cooker of the working environment with eye-melting heat and insects and late nights,” the “Harry Potter” actor continued. “They say in the show, ‘What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,’ but there’s an off-screen ‘White Lotus’ as well, with fewer deaths but just as much drama.”

When asked if he’d like to elaborate on the alleged drama, Isaacs responded, “Absolutely not. I became very close to some people and less close to others, but we still all had that experience together and there’s a certain level of discretion required.”

Despite the feud rumors, Goggins and Wood have only said positive things about each other in the press during their “White Lotus” journey.

“As soon as we got to Thailand, we started to hang out and we became very close very quickly,” Goggins told People in February about Wood. “She was the person that mattered most to me during this experience. Even though my friends were there, we both became immeshed in each other in the way that Rick and Chelsea are. I think the world of her.”

In a March interview with the Telegraph, Goggins said he knew right away Wood would be “a very special person in my life.” He also called her “on some levels, a soulmate.”

Wood, for her part, told Vanity Fair at the Season 3 premiere in Feb., “I did make really, really amazing friends. Walton, because we had all of our scenes together, we were very close.”
