Two men were shot in a brazen broad-daylight attack on a busy Bronx block Wednesday, cops said.
Police responded to a 911 call around 4:58 p.m. near Grand Concourse and East Fordham Road, where they found a 26-year-old man shot in the leg and a 52-year-old man hit in the lower back.
“They shot my customer when he was coming out my store. He was buying baby sneakers for his son,” Danny Kim, 57, who works at the nearby Sneaker Box, told the Daily News about the younger victim.
EMS transported both men to St Barnabas Hospital, where they were in stable condition.
“It was two guys on a motorcycle, one driving and one on the back” as bullets started flying, Kim said.
It remained unclear what sparked the attack, or if it was a targeted shooting, police said.
Witnesses said the older victim was hit near a bus stop.
“I heard they shot a young guy, but I saw the older man laid out over there near the bus stop. He wasn’t in great shape,” one man who declined to give his name told the Daily News.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS; all calls are kept confidential.
