Teddi Mellencamp’s father planning her funeral amid stage 4 cancer

Teddi Mellencamp is getting candid about her health journey as she battles stage 4 cancer.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum revealed that her father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp, is already making burial plans in the wake of her revealing that her melanoma had metastasized to her brain and lungs.

“Yesterday my dad calls 11 times in a row,” she said on a recent episode of her “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast with co-host Tamra Judge. “Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little.’ He goes, ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.’”

Trying to make light of the heartbreaking situation, the 43-year-old said she’d need to visit the gravesite in Indiana before making a decision on the matter, then joked she wanted the phrase “hot girls never die” engraved on her tombstone.

Mellencamp first announced her skin cancer diagnosis in 2022. In February of this year, she revealed that her doctors had also found multiple tumors on her brain, before others were found in lung in early March.

On April 2, the former reality star opened up to her followers on how “sad and alone” she feels at times, despite having the strong support of her family and friends.

“I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that’s OK,” she said. “Stage 4 cancer can be scary.”

Two days later, Mellencamp fired back at a fan who suggested her stage 4 cancer is terminal.

“These kind of comments make me really sad,” she wrote on an Instagram Story. “Of course I know the chances, but I truly believe with my whole heart I will beat this and watch my kids graduate.”

Mellencamp is the mother of three children — Slate, 12, Cruz, 10 and Dove, 4 — with her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave.
