It’s time to “load the car,” Avett Brothers fans.
The folk-rockers — who recently launched their 2025 tour — have 38 more concerts and festival appearances lined up at venues all over the country from April through October.
That includes a whopping seven (!) New York stops.
First up, they’ll play back-to-back gigs at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.
After that, the siblings swing into Lafayette’s Beak and Skiffle Apple Orchards on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. Then, The “I And Love And You” quartet hits Chautauqua’ Chautauqua Amphitheater on Friday, Aug. 1 and Brookville’s Tilles Center Concert Hall on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Finally, the three-time Grammy nominees wrap their New York run with a third performance at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on Friday, Aug. 8.
What’s it like to see them live in concert?
Based on our findings at Set List FM, The Avett Brothers played a mixture of classic tracks, songs from their self-titled 2024 album, a classic Jim Croce cover and a “Swept Away” cut (the group’s Broadway musical) at one of the first gigs on this current tour.
If this sounds like a can’t-miss show for you, tickets are available for all upcoming Avett Brothers performances.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one show was $33 before fees on Vivid Seats.

“Swept Away” reunion concert
From October through December, “Swept Away” — a jukebox musical featuring Avett Brothers songs from their 2004 album “Mignonette” — ran on Broadway.
The imaginative show, starring John Gallagher Jr. and Wayne Duvall, told the story of four shipwrecked sailors in 1888. Heartache, cannibalism and jaunty songs populated “Swept Away’s” brisk 90-minute runtime.
If you’re kicking yourself for missing the production during its initial run, you need not worry. “Swept Away” is returning to New York City for a reunion concert at the Bowery Ballroom on April 28.

The Avett Brothers new music
Outside of the cast recording of “Swept Away” — which the band contributed to — The Avett Brothers’ most recent output was their eleventh studio album “The Avett Brothers.”
Released on May 17, 2024, the self-titled record is a lo-fi 40-minute affair. Think less banjo, more heart with a touch of country influence and you’ll get an idea for where the guys are coming from here.
Standout tunes include the ethereal opener “Never Apart” (which includes a stunning vocal prelude), White Stripes-like jam “Love of a Girl” and blissed-out, gentle anthem “Forever Now.”
Our favorite though has to be the sparse “Same Broken Bones.” Stripped of instrumentals until 30 seconds in, the nimble song is an exercise in intimacy. It’s small, deeply-felt and gorgeously arranged that’s equal parts innovative and Beatles-inspired.
