NY International Auto Show back at Javits for 125th anniversary

Celebrating 125 years, the New York International Auto Show is back. From April 18-27, auto enthusiasts will gather at the Jacob Javits Convention Center to experience first-hand what their favorite manufacturers have to offer.

As a historic event full of thrilling experiences, this year promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever. With more than 83,000 square feet of indoor experiences, the first floor again this year has test tracks that allow consumers to jump behind the wheel and test drive their favorite manufacturers products such as EVs while outside offers an array of off-road experiences.

As some manufacturers like Ford and others are pumping the brakes on EVs and their heavy manufacturing costs, consumers continue to feel the brunt of increased vehicle pricing due to inflation and potential tariffs. In the automotive market today, buyers seem to be shifting towards hybrids and new technology like autonomous driving and off-road capabilities, ensuring the NYIAS will be more relevant than ever as we await new releases, new options and exciting rollouts from an array of manufacturers.

With pricing still topping the conversation, manufacturers continue to ensure consumers are receiving as much value as possible. With more than 150 vehicles slated on the docket from more than 25 automakers, visitors can address their questions and concerns with public relations staff, engineers, and even influential design staff. They’ll enjoy sitting in vehicles, experiencing hands-on usability, and everything the New York International Auto Show has to offer.

Exciting experiences top the level of interest for consumers at the NYIAS this year. Camp Jeep and parent company Stellantis return this year, with its ever-popular display of outdoor fun, while Ford doubles down and brings the Bronco Built Wild Ride. Consumers can sign up to try their large array of off-road products experiencing rough terrain and steep inclines.

Let’s not forget Exotics, Hometown Heroes, Marines, Golden Era, Subaru’s Rally Buzzetta and a host of other specialty exhibits scattered throughout the show. Manufacturers attending this year include Volvo, RAM, Porsche, Toyota, VW, Nissan, Rolls-Royce, MB, Lucid, Maserati, KIA, Lamborghini, Hyundai, Honda, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, Jeep, Lincoln, Jeep, Dodge, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Acura, Cadillac, Bentley and others.

Prior to the event on April 16, the World Car Awards will be presented to determine the World Car Design, World Luxury Car, World Performance Car, World Urban Car, World Electric Vehicle and World Car of the Year. Now in its 21st year, the Annual World Car Awards has more than 100 global jurors who recognize, reward and inspire automotive excellence, leadership and innovation in a rapidly changing automotive industry on a global scale. Receiving this prestigious award is a big accomplishment and one that has a lot of clout in the industry.

As vehicles flood the Javits Center, we notice some that we have already reviewed in 2025. This includes the Nissan Kicks, Ford Mustang, Mazda CX-50, Toyota Land Cruiser, Maserati’s MC-20, Chevrolet Suburban, Range Rover SE, BMW X1, Buick Enclave, Subaru Forester, and the GMC Acadia. With others already pre-scheduled for upcoming tests in Grasso’s Garage, the opportunity to take a sneak peek was great.

Additional exhibits include iconic cars from each decade of the past century. From vehicles such as the 1901 curved dash Oldsmobile, to the ear-shattering 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, this exhibit will showcase innovation, speed, style and creativity. Prepare to see other early 1900s automobiles, the 1963 Split Window Corvette or even the 1986 DeLorean, 1955 Mercedes Gullwing, or the 1999 Acura NSX. This wide array of automobile excellence displays how the automotive industry has transformed from usage to power, comfort, luxury or efficiency.
