Kesha mocks Katy Perry, Blue Origin mission after Wendy’s weighs in

Kesha knows where the beef is.

The “Praying” singer, 38, seemingly shaded Katy Perry on Monday by tweeting a picture of herself sipping out of a Wendy’s cup, after the fast-food chain mocked Perry’s trip to space.

In the photo, Kesha, 38, gleefully smiled at the camera while biting on the straw. Kesha wore a pair of black sunglasses and a white shirt.

The Post has reached out to Kesha and Perry’s reps for comment.

Kesha’s issues with Perry, 40, appear to stem from Perry collaborating with music producer Dr. Luke on her 2024 album, “143.” In 2014, Kesha sued Dr. Luke, 51, and claimed he drugged and raped her at a party in 2005 and emotionally tormented her for years afterward.

Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, denied the allegations. The pair settled their legal battle in June 2023.

Perry faced backlash for working with Dr. Luke on her latest album, which led to her defending the collaboration on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast in Sept. 2024.

“Look, I understand that it started a lot of conversations. He was one of many collaborators that I collaborated with. But the reality is, it comes from me,” the “California Girls” singer said at the time.

“The truth is, I wrote these songs from my experience of my whole life going through this metamorphosis,” she continued. “And he was one of the people to help facilitate all that. One of the writers, one of the producers.”

Before Kesha’s tweet on Monday, the Wendy’s account shared its own message on X (formerly Twitter) making fun of Perry and her all-female Blue Origin space mission.

“Can we send her back,” the fast-food chain wrote in response to a tweet that read, “Katy Perry has returned from space.”

Replying to another tweet with an image of Perry kissing the ground after returning to Earth, Wendy’s wrote, “I kissed the ground and i liked it.”

And after one person pointed out that Perry and her crewmates had only been in space for a total of 10 minutes, Wendy’s sarcastically tweeted back, “Don’t short change her it was 11 minutes.”

Perry went to space Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin New Shepard 31 flight alongside Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez, journalist Gayle King, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn.

On Perry’s blue spacesuit, there was a firework next to her name, as a nod to her hit 2010 track “Firework.” She also brought a daisy flower with her on the flight as a tribute to her and fiancé Orlando Bloom’s 4-year-old daughter, Daisy.

Perry, who sang “What a Wonderful World” in space, told a reporter she felt “super connected to love” after the flight.

“This experience is second to being a mom,” Perry said. “That’s why it was hard for me to go because that’s all my love right there, and I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me and also my family and daughter.”

The Grammy nominee added, “I am full up from being able to get that gift of being a mom, and to go to space is incredible, and I wanted to model courage, worthiness and fearlessness.”

Celebrities like Amy Schumer, Olivia Wilde, Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Munn expressed their distaste about Monday’s mission on social media.

Ratajkowski, 33, said the space flight was “beyond parody” in a TikTok video. The model also accused Blue Origin of “singlehandedly destroying the planet.”
