A 14-year-old boy was fighting for his life Wednesday night after a vicious stabbing attack near Times Square, the Daily News has learned.
Cops responded to the stabbing around 7:08 p.m. near West 43rd St. and 8th Ave., were the youngster was knifed twice in the left arm, and once in the head above his left eye, cops and sources said.
“He was on the ground, stabbed and the blood was on the sidewalk,” said Hussian Mnowar, 35, manager of a souvenir shop near the attack, told The News.
The youngster was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
“They picked him up and wheeled him to an ambulance. He was still moving but he was stabbed in the head,” Mnowar told The News. “Things happen out here in the street all the time.”
Cops say they are looking for two men, both wearing black masks — one wearing a black-and-red hooded sweatshirt and the other wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
What sparked the violence was unclear, and the attackers fled north on 8th Ave., sources said.
