She’s a California Gurl no more.
Katy Perry is being roasted by fans over her bizarre space-inspired outfit from her Lifetimes Tour.
The singer, 40, rocked the metallic bodysuit in the picture she shared shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the night of her third show in Mexico City.
“Introducing KP143,” Perry captioned the post. “143” is the name of Perry’s latest album that came out in Sept. 2024.
Perry, who has been ridiculed since she went to space on the all-female Blue Origin mission earlier this month, faced more criticism from fans over her wild outfit.
“Optimus Prime?” one fan tweeted in response to the picture.
“Is this what happens after you go to space and back?” another account asked.
Someone else said, “Maybe you should of just stayed up there…”
“Are you mocking yourself now? Sure saves us time,” a different fan wrote.
“We lost her to the clone army, boys,” another person joked.
“at this point I am almost embarrassed for her,” a different comment read.
But many Perry supporters praised her outfit on her Instagram post, where she limited the comments.
“You look fabulous in this costume,” one fan wrote.
“Hell yes 🔥,” another fan wrote.
Perry also shared a video of herself in her robot-like outfit backstage at her second show in Mexico City on Friday. “ROUND 2! Tonight we fight the MaInFrAMe in Mexico City again. Are you bringing your main character energy?!” she wrote. Perry similarly limited the comments on the post.
The “Roar” singer kicked off her tour last Wednesday. She dressed in her metallic bodysuit, flew in the air and even brought two fans waring blue NASA jumpsuits onstage and took a selfie with them at her first show.
She also also seemingly called out her haters by asking the audience, “‘Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?”
The tour began less than 10 days after she flew to space as part of of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin crew — which included Lauren Sánchez and Gayle King.
The space mission drew criticism and Perry took on the brunt of the backlash.
Fast-food giant Wendy’s mocked Perry by tweeting, “Can we send her back,” in response to a tweet about the pop star returning to Earth.
While in outer space, Perry revealed her Lifetimes Tour setlist inside the New Shepard rocket.
After the flight, she told a reporter that the trip was the second-greatest experience in her life, second to being a mom.
“I am full up from being able to get that gift of being a mom, and to go to space is incredible, and I wanted to model courage, worthiness and fearlessness,” she said.
