Even though the Met Gala is notorious for its “no cell phone rule,” Meg thee Stallion managed to sneak hers into the ball to give fans an inside look of fashion’s biggest night.
The Houston hottie posted a video captioned, “Hottie Cam in thee MET GALA 👀😏.” In the post, the “Roc Steady” rapper is seen with rapper Doechii and WNBA star Angel Reese reviewing the food that was served throughout the night.
The trio toasted their hors d’oeuvres while sharing their thoughts on the menu, which included vegan lox, cornbread paired with caviar, truffle lobster rolls and more.
“We’re not supposed to have our phones, but we’re doing it,” Meg admitted with a laugh.
The 30-year-old rapper also included clips of herself interacting with other celebrity guests including Lupita Nyong’o, Serena Williams, Ciara and Cynthia Erivo.
Megan wasn’t the only rebel using her phone during the star-studded affair. Questlove also posted a group selfie to Instagram while Sydney Sweeney Halle Bailey and LISA posed for a photo inside the venue. Angela Bassett and Yara Shahidi also snapped a selfie.
Anna Wintour has famously discouraged the use of cell phones at the event so that what happens in the prestigious venue is “kept largely under wraps.” Vogue shared that the night “involves cocktails, dinner … and a high-profile performer (or two). Attendees also always have a moment to explore the exhibition.”
Other rules include no smoking and no rearranging the assigned seating.
