Actor Michael Pitt arrested in Brooklyn on sex charges in domestic incident

“Boardwalk Empire” actor Michael Pitt allegedly sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend and later attacked her with a cement block and a chunk of wood, according to Brooklyn prosecutors and sources.

Pitt, 44, was arrested Friday and arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and other related charges stemming from four domestic incidents that allegedly took place between April 2020 and August 2021, according to court documents obtained by The Post.

The violent episodes occurred at the actor’s Bushwick home with his then-girlfriend, law enforcement sources said.

The “Murder by Numbers” star — who played the movie’s killer — forcibly fondled his old flame, and then months later, sexually assaulted and struck her with a wooden plank, prosecutors alleged.

On a separate occasion, in June 2021, the “Seven Psychopaths” actor assaulted the victim with a cinderblock, the indictment claimed.

The Hollywood vet then strangled his past lover on August 7, 2021, according to court documents.

The actor is best known for his role on HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.”

Pitt was previously arrested in July 2022 and charged with assault and petty larceny for allegedly hitting another man multiple times and taking his phone.

Later that year, he was reportedly hospitalized and deemed “emotionally disturbed” after being accused of throwing items at people from the rooftop of a building.

Pitt is accused of assaulting his old flame with a wooden plank and a cinderblock.

In his latest scuffle with the law, Pitt was also charged with first-degree criminal sex act, third-degree criminal sex act, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of second-degree attempted assault, and second-degree strangulation.

He pleaded not guilty before Judge Joanne Quinones, who set bail at $100,000, which the actor posted after the arraignment, according to court records.

He is also accused of fondling his former girlfriend and sexually assaulting her between April 2020 and August 2021.

“Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt — an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes — can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unhinged individual,” Pitt’s attorney, Cary London, told The Post.

“We look forward to proving his innocence through the evidence and not through the media.”

Pitt is due back in court on June 17.
