Rapper Tory Lanez has reportedly been stabbed at the California prison where he is serving his sentence for shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.
Lanez, real name Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, is currently serving a 10 year sentence at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
Lanez was taken by unspecified hospital to Bakersfield after another inmate reportedly stabbed him Monday morning, according to TMZ. The 32-year-old is expected to survive the attack.
No further details of the reported incident have been revealed.

Lanez has maintained his innocence despite a jury of his peers believing Megan Thee Stallion’s retelling of the events that followed a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home.
The Toronto-bred lyricist was accused of having fired five shots while yelling “Dance, b—h!” to the three-time Grammy Award winner — who sustained gunshot wounds to her feet.
Megan had another court victory earlier this year when she was granted a five-year restraining after claiming Lanez had been harassing her from behind bars through third parties.
In January, a judge confirmed the “WAP” artist “sustained burden of proof” to be granted the restraining order against Lanez after she delivered an emotional testimony recounting the trauma she’s endured since the shooting.
Lanez seemingly has been thriving behind bars, Monday’s stabbing incident notwithstanding. On Friday, Lanez posted a photo with fellow inmates revealing his plans to release a “Slutty Bass” album this summer on his verified Instagram account.
In March, he wrote in the caption of a bare-chested image that “this comeback is personal,” announcing the release of another music offering, titled “Peterson.”
