Boy, 12, arrested for carrying firearm inside Brooklyn school

A 12-year-old boy was arrested for carrying a firearm inside a Brooklyn public school Monday morning, cops said.

Cops responded to a 911 call of a boy with a gun inside Conselyea Preparatory school around 10:30 a.m. near N. 5th and Roebling Sts. in Williamsburg.

“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority, and weapons have absolutely no place in our schools. This item was quickly recovered after brave students raised a concern and all students and staff are safe. We are offering additional security and resources to this school community today and in the coming days and are working closely with the NYPD to keep our students and staff safe,” said Jenna Lyle, a spokeswoman for the public schools.

No one was injured in the incident.

Charges for the boy were pending Monday afternoon.
