Man mowed down by hit-and-run driver exiting RFK Bridge in East Harlem



A man was fatally struck Monday by a hit-and-run driver exiting the RFK Bridge in Harlem, cops said.

The adult victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was standing on the road near the RFK Bridge exit ramp around 12:58 p.m. close to East 125th St.and Second Ave. in East Harlem when the driver of a vehicle exiting the span struck the victim, authorities said.

The driver, instead of remaining at the scene, kept going, cops said. EMS transported the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There were no immediate arrests in the incident; the NYPD’s Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.
