A man crossing a Manhattan street was fatally struck by an MTA bus Monday morning, police said.
The victim was crossing Third Ave. near E. 28th St. in Kips Bay when he was hit by the bus headed uptown about 5:30 a.m., cops said. It wasn’t immediately clear who had the right of way.
Medics rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital but he could not be saved. Cops were working to determine his identity.
The 41-year-old bus driver remained at the scene and spoke to investigators. He was not immediately charged as cops continue to investigate.
