Cops have released photos of the creep who pepper-sprayed a young mother and her baby on a Queens subway.
The man, sporting a black hoodie, multicolored pants and a black baseball cap with a Chicago Bulls logo, grew angry on board a southbound M train around 10:50 a.m. Friday, engaging in a verbal dispute with a 25-year-old mother after she refused to let him borrow her phone, cops said. The young mom had her 11-month-old daughter with her on the train.
The perp then sprayed the mother in the face and arm with the irritant as the train approached the Court Square-23rd St. station. The stinging spray also hit the baby girl in the face and arm, cops said.
The man took off immediately after the incident. Cops are still searching for him.
EMS transported the mother and child to Mount Sinai Queens hospital, where they were in stable condition, both suffering substantial pain and redness to the eyes.
The woman told police that before she boarded the train a few stops to the north, the suspect had approached her, asking if he could use her cellphone. After she declined, they had no further interaction until he sprayed her on the subway — apparently having followed her onto the train.
