At least one firefighter was critically injured battling a raging five-alarm fire in the Bronx Sunday night, authorities said.
Flames erupted at a multi-family home on Devoe Terrace between Webb Ave. and W. 190th St. in University Heights just before 7:30 p.m., and quickly engulfed the residence before spreading to two other houses.
In addition to the firefighter in critical condition, another firefighter was in serious condition. A third firefighter and an EMS member were also injured, and in stable condition, authorities said.
As of 10:30 p.m. the fire had not been brought under control, with additional units requested to relieve the firefighters battling the flames, authorities said.
