Brandy and Monica reunite for The Boy Is Mine Tour

Brandy and Monica, two of the most influential artists of the ’90s R&B era, are finally embarking on their first co-headlining tour — more than 25 years after reaching No. 1 with “The Boy Is Mine.”

The Grammy-winning singers announced the tour Tuesday on “CBS Mornings,” saying they’ll hit the road for a 24-city arena run kicking off in Cincinnati on Oct. 16. The Boy Is Mine Tour will feature special guest appearances by Kelly Rowland, Muni Long and 2025 “American Idol” winner Jamal Roberts.

The tour includes three stops in the tristate area — Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Nov. 20, Newark’s Prudential Center on Nov. 21 and Atlantic City’s Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall on Nov. 22.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, with presale beginning Thursday using code BPC.

“Bringing Brandy and Monica together for this tour is more than just a moment — it’s a cultural homecoming,” said Black Promoters Collective president Shelby Joyner. “Their impact on R&B is immeasurable, and ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to be one of the most iconic collaborations of all time.”

The tour aptly takes it name from Brandy and Monica’s iconic 1998 hit, which spent a record-breaking 13 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Despite having tension throughout the years, both singers — who achieved platinum-selling, chart-topping success in their own right — have always been entwined with the Grammy-winning track. Earlier this year, they even scored another Grammy nomination for their collaboration on Ariana Grande’s “The Boy Is Mine (Remix),” which introduced the song to a new generation.

“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy, 46, said about the tour. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music — it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come. ‘The Boy Is Mine’ was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion — it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.”

Monica, 44, added: “The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength and real music.”
