Taylor Swift put on a surprise performance for Travis Kelce’s summer training camp Tuesday, the same day Justin Baldoni dropped his case against her estranged bestie Blake Lively, throwing access to Swift’s texts into question.
The Grammy winner, 35, joined Kane Brown for a rendition of “Shake It Off” at Tight End University’s Tight Ends & Friends concert at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl, according to People.
“We would like to dedicate this to our favorite players who are going to play and these are the tight ends,” Swift reportedly began by nodding to the hit’s “players gonna play” lyric.
“The crowd lost their minds!” a source told the outlet. “At the end of her performance, she made sure to thank the band and gave each one of them a hug.”
The insider added that aside from her performance, Swift and her Super Bowl-winning boyfriend otherwise “stayed by each other’s side all while chit chatting and catching up with everyone” at Tuesday’s event.
Also on Tuesday, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told TMZ the “It Ends With Us” director would not amend his countersuit against co-star Lively, who has accused him of sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. A New York judge dismissed Baldoni’s defamation claims earlier this month, but gave him until Monday to decide whether or not to amend the suit for breach of implied covenant and interference with contract.
Just last week, the judge denied the “Gossip Girl” star’s motion for a protective order which would shield her texts with Swift, affording Baldoni access to communications between the former besties.
Baldoni’s failed $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively — along with her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane — roped in the popstar by including texts in which Lively allegedly dubbed Swift one of her “dragons.”
