Two men shot, wounded by Queens driver angry they were double parked



Two men were shot and wounded by driver annoyed they were double-parked on a Queens street, police said Monday.

The victims were standing outside their double-parked car on 79th Ave. near 147th St. in Kew Gardens Hills when a black Acura MDX pulled up about 9:20 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

The Acura driver and his passenger confronted the victims over the double-parked vehicle. As the argument escalated one of men in the Acura pulled out a gun and fired about six times.

Medics rushed the victims, a 41-year-old man blasted in the left leg and a 34-year-old man shot in the left foot, to Jamaica Hospital. They are expected to recover.

The Acura sped off. but as cops investigated, one of the suspects, Alan Rodriguez, 22, returned to the scene and was arrested. Charges against him were pending.

Rodriguez, has a prior arrest for assault. He was also being sought in robbery case, police said.

The other suspect is still being sought.

Police recovered five shell casings at the scene but not the gun.
