“American Idol” alum Triston Harper has a baby girl!
The former singing contestant, 17, welcomed his first child with his wife Paris Reed, also 17.
Harper’s mother, Hattie Mae Sullivan, 37, gushed over the news on social media and revealed that the newborn’s name is Brenley Lichelle Harper.
“Everybody my Grand Baby has made her Grand Entrance …. weighing a solid 6lbs and 6 ounces,” she wrote on Facebook last week.
“Brenley Lichelle Harper Has now arrived on the scene and she ain’t here to play. She’s already in boss mode!!!!! Feed me, Change me, Cut that bright light out. Yes ma’am whatever you want G MA is gonna make it happen!!!!!”
Harper, who stepped on the scene during Season 22 of the hit series, revealed he had tied the knot back in November 2024.
“Iv [sic] got big news harpies,” he wrote on Facebook on Nov. 6, referring to his fan base, as he changed his relationship status to “married” on the social media platform.
Two days later, Sullivan posted a selfie of the country singer and his new bride smiling together as he held up a positive pregnancy test.
“Now Everybody has congratulated me on Triston and Paris getting married but to me that is old news but now I’m bout to be a ‘G Ma,’” Sullivan captioned the photo on Nov. 8, adding the hashtags “#TeamPink #TeamBlue #BlessingsonBlessings.”
The “H.O.P.E.” crooner reposted the picture with Reed on his account but did not share any additional information about their growing family.
Harper was a contestant on Season 22 of “Idol” when he was 15 years old, finishing in fifth place.
During his audition, Harper’s heartbreaking story about his tough upbringing in McIntosh, Ala., reduced the judges and audience to tears.
He shared that he and his mom, who gave birth to him when she was 21, became homeless shortly after his 12th birthday.
“I grew up in a small town. I’ve been through a lot in my life,” he told the audience.
Sullivan, who has three other sons, was in the studio audience during many of Harper’s performances throughout the season.
Following his elimination from the competition, the proud mom has been doing all she can to help Harper make it in Hollywood.
“The night I got eliminated, she hopped on it that same night and has been getting me gigs, bookings,” Harper told AL.com in June 2024.
“We went the other day and had rehearsal for the band. … She put all that together to where I could be able to keep pursuing my career, and not just be waiting, while it’s still hot.”
