Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s breakup — or their “shifting” dynamic — has finally been confirmed by their representatives.
The 13-time Grammy nominee, 40, and 48-year-old “Lord of the Rings” actor’s split was reported by multiple outlets last week, though the stars themselves have remained mum on where they stand.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” their teams’ joint statement, obtained by the Daily News.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
The “Hot N Cold” singer’s on-off romance with Bloom kicked off in early 2016. They got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019 and welcomed daughter Daisy Dove in the summer of 2020.
Last month, an insider told Us Weekly that friends of the couple weren’t sure “if they are permanently split.”
Just two weeks later, a source told the outlet they had indeed “split but are amicable.
“It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce,” said the insider, alluding to Perry’s 14-month marriage to Russell Brand, who appeared in a London court in May to plead not guilty to rape and sexual assault charges.
Perry and Bloom’s marriage would have been the second for both. He was married to former Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013, during which time they welcomed son Flynn, 14.
This week, Bloom posted quotes about “new beginnings” and “loneliness,” attributed to Gautama Buddha and Carl Jung, respectively.
