Queen Camilla has withdrawn from all royal engagements slated for this week as she battles a chest infection, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The royal, 77, is now set to take a “short period of rest” as advised by doctors, as she remains at home under the watchful eye of doctors.
“Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest,” a palace spokesperson told The Post.
“With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.”
“She apologizes to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result,” the statement concluded.
In an effort to prioritize recovery, Camilla is forced to skip the opening of this year’s Field of Remembrance event at Westminster Abbey in London on Thursday.
The annual event, which falls on Nov. 11 annually, honors veterans and servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country in conflicts such as the First and Second World Wars.
Instead, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, 78, will step in on Her Majesty’s behalf.
Camilla has also pulled out of King Charles III’s reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes, set to take place Thursday.
Last month, the pair returned home from an official five-day royal tour of Australia and Samoa. It was the king’s first visit to Australia as monarch.
The royal family has been plagued with health woes this year.
In January, Kate Middleton revealed that she had underwent abdominal surgery under the advice of doctors.
The following month, it was revealed that Charles, 75, had been diagnosed with cancer — just weeks before Princess Catherine, 42, revealed her own diagnosis to the world.
The Princess of Wales has since completed chemotherapy, and is set to re-enter more public-facing duties as times goes on, given her recovery remains on track.
The mom of three returned to work in September — days after releasing a heartwarming video of her family after completing her cancer treatment.
