Man, 21, stabbed inside Washington Square Park after dispute



A young man was stabbed in Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village Monday night after a brawl, police sources told the Daily News.

The 21-year-old victim was gouged in the abdomen after a fight with another man around 7:43 p.m. inside the iconic Manhattan park, the sources said. The victim was trying to run away when he was stabbed.

EMS transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

There was no immediate arrest in the case, with police sources describing the assailant as a 6’1″ shirtless man with long hair.
