A 36-year-old man delivering groceries was hospitalized after he was viciously beaten with a pipe during a road rage-fueled attack on a Brooklyn street, cops said Saturday.
Cops released images of the sunglasses-sporting assault suspect, who pulled the pipe from his trunk before attacking his victim, video recovered by police shows.
The victim told police that he was delivering groceries on Lincoln Ave. near Atlantic Ave. in Cypress Hills at about 1:45 p.m. on June 12 when he pulled over to make a drop off and left his driver’s side door open.
A few moments later, the suspect tried to drive past the victim’s car and clipped the open door.
The two men immediately began arguing over who was at fault, cops said. As the dispute continued, the suspect opened his hatchback, pulled out his pipe, and lunges at the victim, striking him repeatedly in the head and body.
As the victim fell to the floor the suspect jumped back into his vehicle and sped off.
EMS rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
No arrests have been made.
