A woman is dead and a man and a toddler are clinging to life, in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide in Queens Saturday evening, police sources said.
Cops responded to a 911 call of an assault around 7:09 p.m. near Forest Ave. and Menahan St. in Ridgewood, where, in an apartment, they found a 54-year-old man with stab wounds to the chest, a 41-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck and a 3-year-old girl also with stab wounds to the chest and neck, cops said.
The man and woman were both taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition. The woman later died of her injuries.
The toddler was taken to Wyckoff Medical Center where she also was listed in critical condition.
It was unclear what sparked the brutal multiple stabbing. There have been no arrests. Police are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide, sources said.
