Brooke Hogan questions circumstances of Hulk’s death

Brooke Hogan on Tuesday publicly questioned the circumstances surrounding her father Hulk Hogan’s death, prompting local police to issue a statement denying “anything suspicious.”

According to documents from the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County, Fla., the wrestling legend died last month at age 71 after suffering a heart attack. The records also noted he had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells known as lymphocytes.

However, Hulk‘s only daughter is questioning the validity of that cancer diagnosis, claiming she was present for all of her dad’s surgeries except his most recent heart procedure earlier this year, and that she’d never observed any signs her father had cancer.

“They’re saying, ‘Oh, he had leukemia.’ And I’m like, ‘I saw his blood work every time,” she said during Tuesday’s episode of the Bubba The Love Sponge radio show.

“We don’t have cancer that runs in our family. It seems weird,” the 37-year-old continued, noting that her father — who “took the most care of his body” — was once told by a doctor that “his blood is like a 25-year-old.”

Furthering Brooke’s questions is the fact that Hulk’s primary care doctor certified his cause of death, and his cremation was approved, without the medical examiner performing an autopsy.

“Yes, you can have a heart attack, but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question?” the former reality star said. “For me, the no autopsy and the leukemia out of nowhere hits me as B.S.”

But a spokesperson for the Clearwater Police Department is throwing cold water on any suspicions.

“As previously stated, there are no signs of foul play or anything suspicious about the death,” they told TMZ.

Family and friends gathered together on Tuesday to celebrate the life of the World Wrestling Federation Hall of Famer at a private memorial service that took place at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Clearwater, Fla. Kid Rock, Theo Von and Stephanie McMahon were among the attendees.
