Three Philadelphia men have been arrested in the robbery of a Brink’s armored truck in which they allegedly stole more than $2 million, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.
All three men — Daishaun “Daisha” Hughes-Murchison, 30, and Brian Wallace and Trayvine Jackson, both 31 — are charged with robbery interfering with interstate commerce and the use of a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime in connection with the June 2025 heist, which authorities believe may have been an inside job.
The incident unfolded on the morning of June 21 as the armored car was approaching a Home Depot store on the 2500 block of Castor Ave. in Philadelphia as part of its scheduled route, court documents show.
The armored car’s driver was walking down the rear alley of the store when he was approached by two men armed with AR-style rifles.
The men approached the driver from behind, forced him to the ground, took his company-issued firearm and keys, and held him while an accomplice entered the vehicle and stole “a significant amount of cash belonging to Brinks Inc.,” prosecutors said.
The two men then fled the scene in a black Hyundai Sonata, with the third man following in a silver Ford Fusion.
Investigators later determined the Ford belonged to Hughes-Murchison and that the Hyundai had been rented by Wallace. After returning the car a few hours after the robbery, Wallace was seen on surveillance video walking into the Ford Fusion and getting into the passenger seat.
According to the criminal complaint, cellphone records placed Wallace and Jackson near the car rental site at that time, and Wallace and Hughes-Murchison near the Home Depot during the robbery.
During the investigation, Brinks officials told authorities that Jackson had previously been employed by the company but was terminated following an internal investigation.
All three defendants had their initial appearances in court last week. Jackson has been ordered detained, while the other two men are scheduled for detention hearings later this week, officials said.
