Kim Kardashian breaks down in new Kanye West documentary trailer

The trailer for Kanye West’s new documentary, “In Whose Name?,” gives fans raw insight into the rapper’s turbulent life and his relationship with former wife, Kim Kardashian.

The trailer, which premiered online Wednesday, features the SKIMS owner in several clips, including a moment where she’s told her ex has been “off [his] meds for five months now.”

The video then reveals a rare glimpse of the rapper, legally known as Ye, having an emotional conversation with Kardashian where she’s heard crying while telling him, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.”

Another clip shows an intense exchange between the former couple, in which West tells his then-wife, “Never tell me I’m gonna wake up one day and have nothing.”

Kardashian responds saying, “We can talk about that later, but…”

West immediately fires back shouting, “It ain’t no ‘but!’”

The documentary, which was helmed by filmmaker Nicolas Ballesteros over a six-year period, also uncovers moments West experienced mental health issues throughout the years.

“In Whose Name?” sees the Grammy winning artist “living with bipolar disorder, offering rare insight into the realities of mental illness and its impact on identity, perception and power,” according to its official synopsis.

The doc is also described as doing “more than document a cultural icon,” but rather exploring “a profound journey of artistic and personal growth.” It’s expected to peel back the curtain on Ye’s ”collapsing marriage, vanishing sponsorships and growing public backlash” amid multiple controversies, including his many antisemitic rants.

West married Kardashian in 2014 and the exes share four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. In February of 2021, Kardashian filed for divorce.

“I definitely protected him, and I still will in the eyes of my kids, for my kids,” Kardashian shared on an episode of the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast in 2022. “In my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on [in] the outside world.”

“In Whose Name?” hits theaters Sept. 19.
